Master list of Resupply Points

Hello,

I’m currently planning a thru-hike of the PCT trail, I was wondering if anyone has a sort of “Master List” of the various resupply points along the way which I could leverage for my hike.

I’m not sure how to often I should resupply, I was thinking every 4-10 days maybe depending on the availability of water and resupply locations. Anyone who has thru-hiked or hiked a significant portion of the trail and willing to assist me in planning the hike please reach out. I can be contacted at my e-mail address knfulle@yahoo.com.

Regards,

Kurt

Get Yogi’s book. It’ll get you enough of a base of knowledge on this subject (resupply) to start asking more detailed questions.

pcthandbook.com (or something like that).

You’ll average 4 to 6 days between resupply.

If you go straight thru the high Sierra, it can be 10 to 12 days from Kennedy Meadows to VVR, depending on speed, snow conditions, etc.

Very few thru-hikers (at least that i’ve met) decide en route to do FEWER resupply points then they had planned. More often, you get out there and realize that carrying less weight and resupplying whenever possible is easier for the body and spirit to handle. Personally, i liked generally using 3-4 day resupply options on the PCT. In the High Sierra resupplying that often isn’t possible, but almost the entire trail other than the High Sierra you CAN resupply every 3-4 days, if you’re moving along at the standard pace.

My resupply recommendations are here:

if you scroll down about halfway down the page. Addresses and such aren’t on there, but i managed to get them without Yogi’s book. Many are on Craig’s PCT Planner (google that), though you’ll want to double check them to see if they are up to date. A few other ones i got from just trolling about the PCT yahoo group for my year and PCT-L.

Have a blast…:cheers

Resupply whenever and wherever possible. The less weight you carry the more you’ll enjoy the hike.
