I am going this to max patch. I want a short non strenuous hike. The ditance from Max patch to Roaring fork shelter looks about 5 miles and does not look too strenuous. Is that about right ? Just a short overnight.

Its an easy walk. Winds thru the forest. Plenty of water around. Pack the good food and a bottle. If the weather is cool sleep on the Patch and watch the stars, although looking at last satalite pic it looks like rain for ever.:cheers
