Hello there fellow hikers… I will be joining Redwood as he hikes the PCT for a brief stint on the JMT which goes thru the Sierra Nevada and includes all craziness such as snow and ice. I’ve learned I need an ice axe and am hoping someone has one I could rent or borrow for the 3 weeks i’m out there. I’ll be good to it~promise!

when do you need it for? i should be through the sierras quite early this year and would be glad to lend it to you if our times dont clash. it is the ‘black diamond raven pro’ and is 65cm in hieght. very light and strong.

That’s way too early. This is piling up to be a BIG snow year for the Sierra. Lots of snow, and it’s not melting.
