Has anyone hiked thru passages 23 and 24 recently? What’s the condition of the trail? Have signs been replaced to show the AZT route? Are there signs for the springs? Has anyone hiked thru there in the fall and can say whether any of the springs have water? I’m thinking of hiking thru next October.

Dave Hicks, Terry Woolston, and Fred Gaudet hiked the divide trail to City Creek TH in early December. I would talk to Terry, the trail steward for the divide trail at azhikebike@cox.net, or call up Dave Hicks at the Arizona Trail Association at (602)252-4794. From what I understand it’s difficult to follow, burnt signs have not been replaced, and there is tons of deadfall from the fire in 2004.
