Found a nice route to hike these next few weeks. Similar at times to AZT and Sky Island Traverse. Im heading up Pima Canyon. Going to the Top of Mt. Lemmon, then Hooking onto the SKIT. Taking that down to the San Pedro River. From there hiking south to Paige Creek. Follow that wash to some old roads to the Miller Canyon Trailhead. Take that up the Rincons mtns. Follow the Crest all the way down to Tucson. Resupply, then go around the east then south side of the Rincons. Hook up with the AZT again. Follow that to the Santa Ritas, then Hit the top of Mt. Wrightson. South to Patagonia, yet taking a longer route down Temporal Gulch. Continue near due south, Leaving AZT near Patagonia. Down Down Down to the Border, Then follow the Fence 20 miles or so west to Nogales. Resupply, then continue down the fence west to the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. Hook up with the Sasabe trail/ “Cocaine Hiway” Follow those washes north back to Tucson. Funny I actually put five minutes of thought over the last few weeks weather or I should be packing “Heat” For the several days where I will be walking right down along the border wall. I decided against it. Don’t need the weight, but I think this is one area where it would feel nice to have one.

Seems like a nice route for Christmas break. Got some time before spring semester starts. I’m starting hiking in 45 minutes. Got to love it.

Have a fun and Merry Christmas!

Sometimes the long walk is just an extension of one’s personality, eh Guino? ;0)
