is mill roadalos known as county rd. in vermont accessable by car? would be comming in from mass. to pick up my husband on the trail and thought this might be a good place to pick up. also what would be the best route to get there

its called country road in the 2004 data book. I don’t have my vermont maps at my new apartment, but I recall it being a dirt road, somewhat remote. Im sure you can acess it somehow though. Might wanna use Vt 9 or Mass 2 as an alternative, since they are close and much bigger.

I’ve never driven to the trailhead here, but I’ve met people who have. So it can certainly be done. One time, I hiked it out to Bennington and it seemed to me that you could do it in a family sedan if you were careful.
OTOH, Vermont was a muddy mess this year, and the road might be relatively bad.
