We’re planning to meet Fiddler and summit Katahdin with him on Oct. 4th, and just wondered if any of you would recommend a particular place to stay in Millinocket the night before. Looks like there are several possibilities.

I stayed at Pamola Lodge- it was 58 for a double. It has a hot tub and the place was pretty nice, plus there is a good chinese food resturant downstairs.
Word of caution- avoid the resturant at the Best Western, the service is unbelievably slow!
Tell Fiddler and Joe I said Hi, I hiked with them for a few days back in Virginia, around the Catawba/Daleville area.
