Ms Janet is a nice lady. From the site it looks like a really nice place to stay. A good alternative to Uncle Johnny’s. If you are a newbie, fair warning if you stay at UJ’s DO NOT mention Ms Janet!! HH

I met Ms. Janet at UJ’s a couple of years back. I had hiked into UJ’s and had arrived just at sunset. At the feast being offered by the neighbor, this delightful woman was talking to us and asking us about our travels. She related to me her name, Ms. Janet. She mentioned that she enjoyed reading my journal the year before. That was sure to get my attention.

Ms. Janet does seem to have a love of the trail and those who hike. What a blessing for the hikers!

I believe that Erwin is well on its well to be becoming one of the best stops on the trail.

It will be interesting to see how it works out as Miss Janet used to use Uncle Johny’s as the key pickup and dropoff point for hikers. I liked my stay at Uncle Johny’s however I can see many benefits from staying cloder in town as Erwin is verrry spread out.

Miss Janet is a great lady and I wish her venture all the best.

Miss Janet was at the PA Ruck. (Which was a blast.) I believe she is having a birtday party Ruck at the new hostel sometime mid-Feb. Just thought I would pass that on to those who may be interested. HammockHanger
