I am not a hiker but use the PCT with my horse.
The Seattle NBC station King had a report this morning of 2 missing hikers and 1 dog. They didn’t say their names. They said the hikers had last been seen by Snoqualime Pass on Oct 1. They are presumed to be between Snoqualime and Stevens Pass. The weather up there has been horrible all week, snow ,wind etc. Just thought I would pass this on to you all FYI- Rick

I have faith that Nadine will be ok. My prayers are with her and Pacha. For what it’s worth, she’s already hiked the PCT, back in the mid-90’s. I remember her saying it was a really huge snow year.

hey all. the media sort of spun all of this out of control. we were never in any trouble. there was a lot of snow on the high passes, but nothing a bunch of wet slogging couldn’t get us through. we weren’t even ‘late’. i think people just got scared for us because of the storm. sorry if anyone was worried. pacha, chris and i are warm and dry in skykomish. aside from the scare the officials gave our friends and family, the whole thing is kind of laughable. thanks for your comments. made me feel a whole lot better.

Nadine, I don’t know if you had the opportunity to see any of the news stories but the ones I saw on King TV and Kiro radio Seattle were both positive. There was none of the usual hub-bub about cost of search etc. The link to King TV is above if you haven’t seen it yet.
