MSR mini works question

Hey, I’ve got an MSR Miniworks. I used it in Grayson Highlands in Feb. and it worked wonderfully. I’ve used it twice since then up at SNP and pulled the filter out to clean it, but it wasn’t dirty at all and the ceramic filter didn’t look wet. Was it just really clean water or have I put it back together wrong?

You filtered clean water, ma’am. Ceramic’s suface is very smooth and water wil actually bead on it when new. No problem, shows you kow how to get the best cattle water. ut check your instruction on assembly. Maybe you dropped and o-ring?

Stu, we’ll figure it out! i’m tempted to go down to the pond near my house that i KNOW is filthy and just filter some water to see. Actually, sounds like a plan. Going to take the dog for a walk now and see how clean the water is. But I’ll check the o-rings first.
Oh and Stu–i’m thinking of adjusting my mileage plan that I have. You don’t object to shorter days starting off, do you? Then we’ll be able to get behind all the fast crazy hikers and have some shelter space

BW you must have been right. The water must have been clean. Filtered 2 liters today and the filter got dirty. yay :-):girl
