Is there a N. Cali guide book? I got the S. Cali, and assumed it was for the whole state. I’ve looked around on pcta.org and amazon, with no luck. Help!

I heard it’s on backorder and supposed to be available before we get to Tuolumne. There was some info about this on the PCT-L a while back. I’ll try to find it.

“In talking with Mike Jones (publisher, Wilderness Press) yesterday, it seems the new N CA Guidebook will not reach them from the printer until the 2nd week of May. He did say that he had acquired 3 copies of the last CA guidebook, Vol I. A few people expressed interest in getting a copy of that edition recently. You might consider contacting him ASAP. 1-800-443-7227 x108”

“When I talked to Wilderness Press a few weeks ago, he said 6 weeks, once it is at the printers and they would be more than willing To mail your copy anywhere up the line you want. He said to phone him a few days before you go to the kickoff and give him the info at that time. They will have a good idea then exactly when it would be published and ready to mail and you should have a good idea just how far you would be able to hike by then also. I think Aqua Dulce or Mohave would both be good places to have it sent. Marge (the old gal)”

I just talked to Wilderness Press. The Northern California guide books arrived from the printers today, and are being distributed to sellers and people who placed orders on the WP website. There should be lotsa copies at Kennedy Meadows and Tuolome Meadows in a few days.
