Several years back a trail documentary series aired on PBS (I believe) about a woman who did a video jounal while she was thruhiking (I think the AT). She did a video update approximately once a week and it was facinating to see how much she was changing with every episode. She encountered waking up to ponies grazing by her tent, finding trail magic in the form of a hand carved walking stick left by a trail angel regular, and the hardships of trying to stay on the trail when so many others had left or parted ways. I cannot remember any other details that could be valuable to figure out which trail doc it is. I only know which ones it is not (i.e. 2000 miles to maine, 5 million steps, trek, appalachian impressions, North to Katahdin, How to hike the AT). I know my details are vague but it has been a long time since I last watched an episode. If anyone has a clue to what documentary I am thinking about please let me know or if you can recommend some other documentaries that would be great. Thanks

it was facinating to see how much she was changing with every episode. She encountered bumming change from rednecks drinking out of jars at road crossings, being in a love triangle with a hiker with a hand carved walking stick and a simpleton section hiker, and the hardships of trying to stay on the trail after eating one too many hash brownies. :tongue
