I’ll be assisting the Georgia Pinhoti Trail with some maintenance that day starting at 10:00 AM. If anyone is in the Dalton, GA area and wants to join me, please drop me a note at jhunter@americanhiking.org.

See ya out on the trail.

I’ll be heading south through the 100 mile wilderness - giving the black flies a meal to celebrate National Trail Days!
Thanks for the reminder, Jeffrey - The AHS does great work!

Hey,

I plan on returning out to good ol’ Tennessee to help build the Cumberland Trail right after trail days. I’ll be driving out to Soddy Daisy on Sunday the 18th and plan to work for a couple days on the trail. I highly recommend participating in the Big Dig! You will be a part of history as you break ground for portions of this future 300 mile trail. The folks who organize and carry out this program are some of the best, free food and lodging too! For more info, check out http://www.cumberlandtrail.org/bigdig.html Contact Mark for info. Let me know if you plan on coming out! -Matt mkirk @ email.unc.edu

to prevent gridlock on your Big Dig. They close a new lane of highway everyday up here in Boston. Also, if you have to build a bridge, just settle on one name. Here in Boston I get to drive over the Lenny Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Freedom Bridge (This is not a joke)
