Do you have transportation plans? That’s a pretty remote part of the trail, and whoever runs shuttle for you is gonna have a lot of driving to do!
Would love to come, if our schedules work out and you have transportation figured out. Only thing is I’d be bringing my dad and uncle along with me. I’m 22 years young and drag them out of Texas and into the rockies every summer for a bit of hiking. Been looking for this year’s trip, and the San Luis area was one of my favorites during my thru last year

I was planning on using my wife as the shuttle. She just retired and is used to doing that for me. The more people the better, as far as I’m concerned. I can do about 12 miles a day comfortably, averaging about 2/hour. Regarding the timing of the hike, I was flexible. I just want to avoid the monsoon season from mid to late July to mid August. I will be bringing along my 1 year old dog as well.
