While waiting for my kids to go off to college, have to live my thru-hike through you guys. Would love to post your journal. Have done this for 3 thru-hikers so far but have yet to get someone who has made it to Maine. Thank’s ( pterodactyl GA>ME 2016)
Pre Trail Magic
My grand son 20 years old and I 70 years old are going to hike to the AT.
We are interested in a thru-hike but over 4 years.
We plan on starting this spring 2012 and finishing in Damascus Va.
Next year 2013 starting in Damascus around Trail days and hiking about two months.
Next year 2014 starting where we finished about the time we left off and hiking about two months.
Next year 2015 starting where we finished about the time we left off and hiking to the end Katahdin God willing and if the creek does not raise.
Please communicate with me. I am sure you know more than I do about this challange we propose.

Yes, I am looking for someone reliable to transcrib and post my journal for me. Will have no fancy smart phone just an old fashion dumb phone with me during my thur hike. Will be writing journal by hand and will have to send it to someone to transcrib and post for me. Also will have pictures on a memory card as well. Write me back if interesting in helping me out. I have a tenative start date of Feb 1 from springer and plan on making it all the way to Mt. K. Starting early to allow for any problems and allow enough time to summit Mt. K before they close it in Mid Oct.
