How does one go about making a ‘new’ hiker/trails festival? Something along the lines of Traildays in Damascus.
I’d love to hear hints/suggestions/hard facts - even sad stories. I would like to have an annual one in Monson, which really doesn’t have one yet (or not in recent years).

Another sort of hiker festival is the Ruck. These are organized multiple day gatherings. Perhaps a ruck evolves into a festival? I know there’s a rocky’s ruck, a southern ruck and a Pa.ruck. Check em out. The PA ruck will be at the ironmaster’s and the southern ruck is at the NOC.

The correct spelling is Rockies, not Rocky’s. Unless you’re referring to a guy named Rocky who is organizing a ruck in his name.

How awesome would a Dalton Trailfest be? Most hikers I knew on the AT got stuck in Dalton for a few days and got to know the town and its trail angels. Plus, it’d be good to get off the summer heat of the trail that most people are stuck in around then and tilt back a couple cold ones.:boy
