I hike to get away from this crap so I sure am hoping I don't run onto this type of situation when on the trail. Am thinking of hiking some lesser known trail to avoid all of this type of controversy.

I can understand and relate to that...However, here is how I see it...These internet people are not the same as the people we will encounter on the trail. Their controversy is all here because they have nothing better to do. Truth is that I assume people will be far too busy on the trail...Maybe not.

KG, you're absolutely right about that. But the people who gave you good advice? You'll find them and people like on the AT, frequently.
