Have y’all heard the buzz about this?
Looks like Paul Newman and Robert Redford are thinking of teaming up one last time for a movie adaptaion of B.Bryson’s A Walk in th Woods.

Seriously,
did you not see the thread less than a week ago. You brought up a sore subject thats for sure. Most people thought it was a bad idea, heres a rundown of some of their reasoning:
Didn’t like the book. (i wonder if they even read the book)
Hated Bryson. (Some people are ignorant and feel that he is a “yankee Pansy” but whoever said it must be from the south and like to hear pigs squeal)
thought that the movie would “commercialize” the AT. (they must think that the AT belongs to them, Maybe they want to hand pick the people that are allowed to hike the trail??)
just so you know, there was a reference to Deliverance, and the trail is, and should remain, open to anyone willing to begin the adventure of a lifetime.
Plus I would LOVE to see a good backpacking movie made, I’m just torn between a comedy or and action packed drama type thing.
:cheers

Did’nt we just go through that whole thing? Oh well,Guess it’s better than “I want to take my dog hiking on the AT,what do you think” type of post.
