Nimble on Trail

Just got back from Atlanta, hiking the first 20 miles of the AT, to support my brother-in-law, Nimble, who is now about 65+ miles into it and trekking NOBO.

New Acronym? NBR=Nothing But Rain

I was so damn tired and got sick afterwards, but it was well worth it! I’m now reading “A Walk in the Woods” and can appreciate the sentiment of the book just a little bit better. I’m glad to be in warm, dry clothes again!

Keep an eye out for Nimble. Click on “hiking” link at “www.paulonweb.com”.

For those who we met: Rue, Jasper, Ostrich, Ted, Shane, Derek, the Smiths, Footslogger, Chocolate Foot, Mother Nature, Father Time, Seventy, Lead Food, and everyone else - WE ARE WITH YOU IN SPIRIT!!! YOU CAN DO IT!

I also read Bill Bryson’s A Walk In the Woods, and laughed my arse off the whole read. Check out his other books as well, also full of his style of humor.

I thought the book was pretty good at the front but the second half left me feeling that Bryson was just looking for stuff to fill a book.

Me too. And he made assertions about sections he never hiked.

Ditto. The first half of the book was great. The second half left a lot to be desired. Recommendation: Read the first half, then put the book down.

He had to fill the second half with something, he only hiked about 800 miles.:oh
