No Christmas spirt?

My Iraqi buddies are bouncing around my shop here in Baghdad, singing Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, and other timeless favorites. I came to work today with very little Christmas Spirit. But these guys who, by the way speak no english and are Muslum, have shown me some spirt that lives deep in all of us. We should be so fortunate to have so much, when others have so little. Merry Christmas to my Hiking friends
-please say a little prayer for these fine young soldiers here, and for all the nice Iraqi people who are caught in the middle, who just want what we take for granted,… PEACE AND STABILITY…

Consider the prayer a done deal! May God bless you and all the troops, And thank you for your service to this Great Country.

Though my conscience cannot possibly allow me to support this president, his staff or his policies, the troops – our American kids – are always in my thoughts.
Never take our freedoms for granted and never abuse them to take advantage of others or hide the truth.
Bless all of you who are serving: Stay safe out there and then come home to vote.

Sic Semper Tyrannis.

The most dangerous tyrant does not come from outside our borders, but from within. Beware the domestic tyrant who asks you to hand over your liberties.

No “Patriot Act,” no spy chips, no watering down the 2d Amendment.

Sic semper tyrannis is a Latin phrase meaning “Thus always to tyrants”. It is the state motto of Virginia (and also that of the USS Virginia), recommended by George Mason to the Virginia Convention in 1776. The phrase is attributed to Brutus at the assassination of Julius Caesar. Also, according to some witnesses, John Wilkes Booth shouted it after shooting Abraham Lincoln in 1865.

In the popular sitcom Seinfeld, the character “Crazy” Joe Davola (played by Peter Crombie) shouts this before attempting to attack Jerry Seinfeld (although it is incorrectly translated by Jerry as, “Death to Tyrants”.)
