Any news on the reroute? This is in the section 18 area. It would take the trail off the open jeep road and put it on single track up in the woods. That would be nice. thanks, Apple

It is tied up a bit right now due to some disagreements between various user groups. This should all be resolved in the next few weeks. Once that happens, work can begin. Probably 2015 at the earliest for construction to actually start. It should build out fairly quickly once that happens. There is a camping area (Salt House) where the new trail crosses FS 787 which has vault toilets. That would be a great place for you to relocate your angel camp to when the time comes. Especially if you hauled some water up there. (It’s dry)

That’s great bearcreek. It will be a big improvement. Some of the property owners in the area let me know they weren’t too happy about the reroute last year. They had the idea it would be a lot more than a single track trail. I tried to convince them otherwise but doubt that I did! There are hunters, ranchers, and cowboys living up in those woods. :oh

It is going to be built with a 30" wide trail machine. Motorized use prohibited after construction. Will probably shake out to be about a 18" trail when all is done. The reason for the tiny trail machine is so 4 wheelers won’t fit.
