The mts over 4000’ in NH still have a lot of snow above 3000’ unless it is an open sunny ledge. So you can plan on an icy monorail or postholeing. In addition we got snow this past weekend and the weather is not going to be hot this week. At the very least, you probably want to have micro spikes with you. I had to use them last Thurs. on a lower mountain.

Sleeveless is correct. I was in franconia notch this weekend and it looked like the middle of winter. Pnkham Notch got of 5 inches of wet snow. I can only imagine how much they got at elevation where there was no turnover to rain. That being said the popular trails are being packed down as we speak and temps are going to be milder during the week so lower elevation snow should be melting. The open ridges should also clear off. I would bring micro spikes and be prepared for some deep post holing in spots during the warm part of the day. Prepare for some very slow going. It should be just gorgous though.
