Hey everybody, I used to be big into hiking but have been bunkered down working a tight schedule for a few years now, I have 2 weeks of vacation from work and I intend to hike a section of the AT for the 14 days I have… Coming from upstate New York, I hope to hike from the NJ/NY state line on the AT through Bennington, VT… a distance on the AT of roughly 250 miles…which broken down will be between 15-20 miles per day…
Does anyone know if this is practical or if I’m setting myself up for failure? I’m in great shape (I work physical labor day job), 22 yr old male, with a tenacious desire to be hiking after such a long time of just working.
