Old Buffalo.... sad day for the AT community

Pete Hart (aka Old Buffalo) has decided not to put his body through any more chemo. His leukemia was far worse than the doctors thought and he has, at most, a week left here on this earth. He went off all meds except pain relief today.
Pete was on leave from the NPS when he did the trail in 2001 and he returned as interim superintendent of Glacier upon completing it. He lived all over the U.S., working in the nations park system.
I love him dearly and will never forget him and the lessons that he taught me. If you want to email him his email is pshart25@msn.com OR you could just email some memories to his family at that address.

Windex, We went to the hospital web-site you gave but could not figure out how to get any information on Old Buffalo. We sure appreciate you letting us know how things are with him. We are really sorry the situation has gotten so much worse for him. We will always remember him as a gentleman & good trail company. We pray for GOD to bless Old Buffalo & his family. Hospitals can’t give out any information about any patient under HIPAA laws. Hope it’s painless.
