I’ve got my gear all set for the PCT, but i was wondering how many outfitters there are on the PCT?

Not a lot, but they seem to pop up just when you need them.

Idyllwild has the very hiker-friendly Nomad Ventures.

Big Bear Lake has a new outfitter named Equada Outfitters.

When you’re in Agua Dulce, Donna’s cars will take you anywhere you need to go in LA.

Lone Pine has a new outfitter named Sierra Elevation.

South Lake Tahoe has outdoor stores.

Ashland has a couple outfitters.

if you can get to independence to get to lone pine, you could also go the other way to bishop to wilson outfitters.

I have found Campmor (1-800-campmor) to be very handy while hiking the PCT. They can ship Priority Mail to PO’s or any place that accepts packages and have very convenient hours of operation: M-F 8AM-11PM, Sat. 8AM-7PM. (E.S.T.)

There’s an outfitter called Mountain Supply of Oregon with locations in Sisters and Bend. The Sisters location was quite small…didn’t stop in at the Bend location.

I live in Sisters right now. Mountain Supply has closed in Sisters. There is still a Mountain Supply in Bend. In Sisters, there is a place called Eurosports but it is very small and has never carried anything I needed for this PCT hike. It is more for skiing or ski lodge lounging. IF they do carry something useful for this kind of hike, they say they aren’t carrying it currently. Not very good customer service either. Really, I don’t know how they stay in business. You may be able to find shoes or boots here, but from a limited selection.

In Bend, there is a new REI that opened less than a year ago. Also, there is Mountain Supply, GI Joes, and a new and huge Sportsman’s Warehouse. You can definitely find anything you would need in Bend.
