Send me a message Papa Smurf. I saw the title of your post ‘Hey Radar’ but can’t read the body of the message since it was nuked along with the
rest of the thread. So move your mouse to the left a bit, click and send me a note with your contact info.

Hey Papa Smurf,

Are you Yeti’s uncle? If you are I hiked a bit with you in 2002. There were a bunch of us that camped at the Cheese Factory in March of that year. Hope you are doing well. I may get to hike next year if things go right. I know I told Yeti on numerous occasions I would never thru hike again. Oh well, foot in mouth again! Take care.

Yeah, we were there. Yeti has an Uncle that hiked many years before me. Yeti called me dad and Flame mom because of her red hair. We hiked off and on with Yeti the entire hike and finished the day before him and Moonshine. Do you remember PigChicken? He is biking around the world! He has a website that is crazy (pigchickensbiketrip.com). I had to stop reading it for a while my sides started to hurt from laughing so much.

Take care Dutch Uncle

For one of the most wonderful and warped sense of humors you’ll ever see, EVERYONE should check out Pigchicken’s website.

Hi Virginian, Cap’n etc,–“Okie” is “alive and well” in Oklahoma and making plans to attend the AZDPCTKO and head north on the PCT in April.

Thanks for all the great AT memories!

(On my way to see PS and Flame TODAY!)

Cap’n, plans are to do it this year. We have 4 short hikes planned this year.

Hey Virginian, I had a day hiker in Mosquitachuset try to buy it from me!

I don’t think I met Pigchicken in 02. I was ahead of you guys for quite awhile until my feet gave out in Vernon, NJ. I was back after a month off but never got to see Yeti and Moonshine. We missed each other in Vernon by hours. I did get to see some of my trail family that started on March 10th though but didn’t finish with any. I hiked the first 5 miles at the start and the last 5 miles at the finish by myself. Take care Papa Smurf and maybe we’ll cross paths again.
