Is there a safe place to park my car in Damascus for about three weeks? I plan on a section hike from there in the middle to late April. Is Mt. Rodgers Outfitters a good place? I believe they charge $2.00 a day but if it's safe then it's worth it.

I own the Hikers Inn, on the main street in Damascus. Whenever one of my guests hikes out, they can leave their car on my property. I don't charge as long as they have been guests of the Hikers Inn.

I stayed at the Hikers Inn and was treated wonderfully. I highly recommend it. I also found Damascus to be such a hiker friendly town I think your car would be safe there. Follow common sense precautions such as do not leave anything worth stealing in plain sight and do not park in some remote area and it should be fine.

Don't pay to park. The town has a parking place to leave your car when you hike. Just stop at the police station and they will give you the info. All they want to know is when you are leaving and when you intend to return and your name & car reg. #. They claim that they patrol the area and watch the cars.

The cops there in Damascus will watch your car alright, but will watch it get stolen right out from under you lolol.Just ask those who have had their cars stolen from being parked in town there before.Heck even the former police chief there is in dutch with the feds for drugs and is currently waiting to be sent to prison for 80 years. So if you value your car dont park in Damascus lolol.

Any of you look at the date on this post? I can't believe you guys turn this into a Repubican/Democrat thing. It's an April Fools Day joke and you guys can't wait to pick your favorite football team...er political party to attack.
