Parking caledonia park

Planning a section hike to finish at Caledonia St Park in PA on Labor day. I need to know where exactly to park a car for about a week preceeding so I finish near my car. Directions from the intersection of PA 30 and 233. Thanks.

Your best bet is to go to the Park office and ask them where you can park(Go about 100 yards up 233 and make a left, there is a sign, into the park. The office will be on the right). There is plenty of parking, including a parking lot all the way in the back of the park right next to the AT. But you should register your car so that park officals know why it’s there. I’ve left my car there several times for weekend hikes and never had a problem. They are really kind people there and maybe if you’re lucky the pool with showers and smoothies will still be open when you finish.

Best of luck and enjoy south central PA!

Peace and hike on!

…they don’t like that. they ran me outta there in '03, after i was already pretty deep into a case of pbr’s… night hiking, in the rain, with a dull headlamp, while intoxicated is pretty brutal. good thing i still had the leftover pbr’s in my pack to rescue my long-departed buzz upon reaching shelter.:cheers
