Parking in Breck (long term)

Where can I find long term (2 week) parking in Breck? I can’t pay an arm and a leg for parking. For the first leg of my trip I am planning to park the car in Breck and hopefully get a ride down to the trailhead at Waterton Canyon to start our hike. My buddy is bailing from Breck. Has anyone parked at the Goldhill trailhead or had issues with a car getting booted or towed? Airport parking? resort parking? any ideas, suggestions?

I seem to remember a lot of parking room at the bus station in cooper mountain. there is a free transportation system b/w cooper mtn, brick, frisco, dillion, and silverthorne. with all those you should be able to find a place to park. and then use the bus to get to where you need to be!!

This is where all the Summit County transit busses meet. It has a lot of parking. A lot of people leave cars there when they take shuttles to Denver to catch planes. You should be able to verify on line.

The parking lot at Gold Hill is very small and right alongside the highway. I don’t recall if overnight or long term parking is allowed, but I would doubt it. I don’t think I’d feel comfortable leaving a vehicle there for any length of time.

The Frisco Transfer Station is a good idea - HUGE lot. Take the free Summit Stage bus to either Gold Hill, Breckenridge, or Copper Mountain to start your hike. Slack pack that big climb to the top of the Ten Mile Range is segment 7.

Copper Mountain has a lot of parking around the Passage Point Summit Stage bus stop. However, that’s a private resort so I’d suggest you call them first (888-219-2441) and ask if it’s ok. Stay out of their resort hotel parking lots.
