Last summer we lost a really nice young man along the trail. his trail name was parkside. I hiked with him down in Pennsylvania and learned of his death before I restarted my hike in Vermont. During my hike I took photos of the various shelter logs that Parkside had signed. Does anyone know how to contach Parkside's family? I'd like to send them a copy of his shelter log entries. Thanks - Hardcharger

Thanks to “Drop Out” I was able to send Parkside’s Mother the photos of his shelter log entries. I hope that his family trasures these since they are his comments to the rest of us along the trail. I restarted in North Adams so I only had his entries from there through Pierce Pond, but a lot of hikers also wrote notes in the logs about his passing and hopefully his Mother can get a feel for how much he was admired along the trail by his fellow hikers. He was a really nice young man, and I only recret that I didn’t have the ability to spend more time hiking with him. We first met him around the Eckville Shelter and bumped into him a couple of times after that. He will be missed - Hardcharger
