This is more of a brainstorm idea. If I have the money I will hopefully be able to hook up with my buddy Worries as he finishes his hike in August up in Maine. Barring logistics and/or money my alternative is to hike from Hiawassee to Hot Springs at the end of July or beginning of August. Planning on making good time(average 13-15 miles a day minimum) as I want to travel the distance in 14 days with a zero possibly at Fontana(I have 16 days before back to work, and I want a zero before back to work). I don’t mind hiking solo, but I always enjoy the company. I live in Georgia so my wife will shuttle to the start, and most likely meet me in Hot Springs. If anyone is interested let me know.
