I’m looking for a brother CT hiker to start (Denver to Durango) on or about Aug 1, 2013. If not Aug 1st than as close as possible. However I’ll consider options if close.
There are advantages to going solo or with a partner. I think it would be more interesting to meet someone and to share the open range and maybe some tall tales.
A little about myself: Hiking is a passion, experience (incl map/compass, GPS). I live in Monument, CO, so access to the CT is close. I’m 54 and trim at 177 and planning about 15 to 20 miles/day depending on weather, terrain, and how the the day turns out. I’m OK with someone my youth (age) our someone “younger.” It’s always interesting to meet new people, appreciate them, and maybe learn something new. Prefer to start early mornings on trail – especially on the long stretches above tree line.
We can talk and compare “notes” before we commit. Any takers?
