Hey! I am planning on doing part of the AT this year. I wanted to start at the half way point of the AT in PA and head South. Leaving March 30/31 and ending End of June. Anyone able/keen to partner up, even if only for a few days. I am 33 years old, female. Presently living and working in London.

I can’t help you as a hiking partner. But you may wish to consider starting at Harpers Ferry south, rather than the half way point. You’ll find it easier to get partners and easier to be shuttled from Baltimore or DC. Shenandoah NP just south of HF, has been my most favorite part of the Trail.

It easier to get to Harper’s Ferry from Washington DC. Amtrak runs a line out there that stops in HF, basically right on the trail. The ticket costs $13 or so.
