If one wished to begin a PCT 300-400 mile section hike from Campo, how early could you start and expect resonably comfortable weather? Would resuppy opportunities be affected by a February or March start date?

hi,
if you are planning on starting that early be prepared for snow. there will be alot of snow in the san jacinto mountains and in the san gorgonio mountains. so if you are comfortable with snow travel you would be ok. another thing to think about is that if you are out there in the snow that early, not many other people will be out there and in some of those areas it is extremely easy to get lost. and getting lost out there when nobody is around is a very bad idea.
about resupply, i am sure that warner springs post office would be open. i am not sure about mt. laguna post office. i dont think you would have to worry about the bigger citys post offices being closed, like idyllwild and wrightwood. YOGI's guide book has all the info on post offices so you could use that and call each one to see if they are operating as usual at that time.
personaly i would wait until at LEAST the 1st of april. and that is still considered early.
