What’s the best way to get to the PCT from the Medford. OR airport? How is the trail from jun1 to jun 20? Any snow?

There are several shuttles that go from Medford to Ashland, and the hitchhiking from Ashland is pretty good. You could try hitching straight from Medford to where Hwy. 140 meets the PCT, but that might be harder than getting a ride from Ashland. Dead Indian Road is the best way from Ashland to the trail. You could join up somewhere further south like Hyatt Lake, but that little section south of Dead Indian isn’t exactly inspirational.

I would think you’d have plenty of snow still at the higher (nicer) elevations. Probably tons of it as you approach Crater Lake.

Public transport can also get you from Medford to Ashland. Check rvtd.org. Looks like a combo of route 1 and route 10.
