I am beginning to plan my hike for next summer and have a few questions. i have limited time available (90-100days) and would like to hear from folks that have done it travelling at this pace. i am an ultralighter, have my gear nailed down but as far as logistics, resupply on the run, water in desert, etc… any help would be much appreciated.
thanks,

Drink a gallon of water right now in half hour. Put some of what ever your going to put in it and drink it down in a half hour to. If you can’t you asking for trouble no matter where you try to have fun backpacking. you might need salt tablets or corn syrup to, better powdered gaitoraid, thats all its is with flavor. Just remember I said to Camel Up if your all sick with this Giardia scare going around to the point you not drinking a gallon a day. That’s all I got to say.

I’d recommend going to whiteblaze.net and searching for a poster named ‘Chris’. He is actually the most frequent poster over there even though its an AT site mostly. I’m sure he’d be happy to talk with you, he hiked the PCT last year in around 100 days and has a whole site of resupply/gear/journal info. I think he’s hitting the AT next week for an extended trip so you might wanna get in touch right away.

Good luck
