I’ve heard that there is a CD that contains detailed trail maps of the whole PCT. Hikertrash.com has an excellent set of maps that can be downloaded but it doesn’t cover Central California yet. Does anyone know of the CDs mentioned above?

tom i know what you are talking about i have the data cd for the colorado trail and it is fantastic, alas a lot of printing though. but it does save money in the long run.
i have not heard of a pct cd. IGAGE is the producer of the colorado trail cd, maybe check their site to see if they made one for pct

Hey Tom,
The CD’s that were used to make the maps at Hikertrash.com are the DeLorme Topo product [I read that someplace]. Information can be found at http://www.delorme.com The list is $100, but I found it at http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=20347154&loc=105 for $80. I didn’t look around a lot, so check it out, you may find it for cheaper elsewhere. If you do, please let me know if you find it cheaper, as I plan on buying it myself after I get a few bills paid off.
