As a PCT rookie, I think it would be neat to see some gear lists of seasoned PCT thru-hikers and section-hikers. It’s always interesting to see different lists and see different people’s styles and preferences. Maybe people can post some detailed gear lists for us to look it to help with our planning ideas.

First of all this space is to short for lists. There are almost as many styles and preferences as there are hikers out there. Its real hard to tell or advice a newbie what works best as some people have their prefenches and in some cases its only time and miles that will make you get rid of needless items. Most newbies will soon learn to cull after a few days when you see what everyone else has or not have…

My current gear list is pretty similar to my PCT list:
The major differene between then and now is that I used an 8x10 tarp then versus now.
Every thing else was just some minor tweaks that added up to two pounds of saved weight.
