PCT with Hammock

Just wondering if any of you had experience using a hammock on the PCT. I used my Hennesy on the AT with only rare problems. While at the ADZPCTKO last year I hiked from Lake Morena to Campo and didn’t see much in the way of hammocking spots. I am considering replacing the standard hammock tarp with a large 10x12 sil nylon tarp so that I can use that in the event that I can’t use the hammock. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I used my Hennessy hammock from South Lake Tahoe to Cascade Locks, OR this year after using it for most of my AT thru-hike. I ended up not being warm enough so I went back to my tarp tent. I know others who used their hammocks the whole way though, and were happy with them.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I’m leaning toward using a tarp instead based on the comments that I’ve read.
