Trail Slug,
I am interested in your stove. I would like to try one out on my next hike. How much are you charging to make one?
Thanks, Take-five

Trail Slug, I am getting ready to hike the At in a few weeks and am just curious. What is a Pepsi stove anyway? Where can I look on the net to find a picture or plans. Thanks

Hi Kay.

The best site for pepsi-can stoves:

Or, go to my Gear page!

They’re homemade stoves that burn denatured alcohol, and they’re based on Trangia (brand name) stoves. They’ve become really popular in the last few years because they’re cheap, pretty efficient, and they don’t have parts to break/clog. Fuel is readily available, they work in hot/cold/wet weather (within reason), and they’re relatively quick to heat up your meal (perfectly sized for one-pot meals).

Good luck on the hike!
