I’ve seemed to have misplaced some information. My wife and I are expecting serious bug problems this July on the PCT in Oregon. Does anyone know the proper dilution of Permethrin and water to treat clothing/gear with? As I remember it was a 1% solution mixed with water. You soak for two hours and let air dry for two days before use. Has anyone out there used this technique?

I have used it for two years but only recently heard of anything but the spray on stuff.If you search on the forum it has been talked about before,but I’m not sure if anyone had actually done it that way.The spray only wets the outer surface,and I think I like that better then wearing it right against my skin,esp while sweating.Good luck.Oo

6% sounds more like it. Think about the big welts you get when you use your 1%. Wear a headnet and tell yourself you look cool.
