It would be nice to know to whether your purpose is commercial or non-commercial in nature. Art or research?
Also, the freedom of the trail is being to set ones pace to what one feels, whether it be a 10 month hiker or a four month hike. Is your project designed to anticpate and allow for hikers of different speeds to be included with out significant interference with their hike, or are you looking for hikers who have scheduled, say for example, a 5 1/2 to 6 month pace?

This is a personal project… of course I am hoping to publish this work… but for now, it is something I think would be interesting and meaningful and exciting. I will approach it as a documentary photographer… which I guess is a little of both art and research (and lots of passion!)
While I understand everyone has there own pace I can only take so much time off of work… so I am planning on having a 10-12 day laps of time in each meeting point. What ever happens happens. I may have to change my plans, or things might fall into place… I won’t know until after I start… but I think this project is worth attempting and am looking forward to meeting everyone on the trail and being a part of their experience.
