Are you joking??? If you somehow haven’t heard about Nita’s Toaster House, then just ask anyone in ‘town’ where it is & look for the toasters hanging outside. It’s a three bedroom house with a stocked freezer (usually pizza & ice cream). There is a ‘Hawaiian Host’ coffee can on the kitchen table for donations.

Nita (who grew up on Lanikai Beach on Oahu) is one of the coolest trail angels you will (hopefully - she lives outside of town) ever meet. She’s been hosting hikers since '82. She baked me a pie while I was hauling some wood for her last year that was “to die for.” Turns out NIta has won ‘Grand Champion’ in Pie Towns annual bake-off a few times (it was blueberry, ginger, rhubarb…)

Happy Trails!
