Are there any thruhikers out there who are still going through VA?
We are not thru-hikers (although I hope to be in a few years) but a bunch of us will be spending the weekend (July 15-17) at the Pocosin Cabin in SNP. It’s a few miles north of Swift Run Gap.
If any thru-hikers were going, we figured we’d bring some extra candy bars, beers, etc in case they were wanted.

Most NOBOs are thru SNP by now, but there are a few still left. Also section hikers and others.
Good offer, would be much appreciated I’m sure.
Suggestion: Leave a prominent note about your offer in the registers at Pinefield Hut and Hightop Hut (two shelters to south) and Bearfence Hut and Rock Spring Hut (two shelters to north) because at this late date getting the word out to those currently on the trail via internet isn’t the most efficient way. If that’s not practical, you could try to leave notes on the trail itself but these don’t stay put long.
