I found a great website that some of you might have seen before… it’s the American Hiking Society (AHS), and they have areas on their home page that let hikers speak up for trails to the white house and congress, if anyone is interested.

Jeffery “Little Bear” Hunter AT 2000 works for the AHS and the National Park Service in the Chattanooga office. This sounds like a great group that is interested in protecting the hiking experience as well as working for new funding and new trail develoment.

this was an exceptional article that I found informative. Seems to me the environment would have a much stronger voice if more people conformed to this writer’s standard of approach. Fair and Balanced.
