i don’t know about you guys, but i LOVE postcard’s cartoons! (his philosophies, as well!)…if you need to cheer up, check it out!..

as another hiker who loves to sketch, i really appreciate this man’s work!..thank him when you get the chance! (he’s carrying some heavy pens!)

(AND…nobos!..when you get to millinocket, you can purchase his posters at the cafe to take home as souvenirs!)…

thanks, postcard, for sharing your gifts with us!..

i meant to add : i have so enjoyed other artists along the way as i’ve hiked different trails!..to me it means so much when you roll in tired to a shelter and open the register to find a funny cartoon or an interesting illustration!..i don’t know what the clubs do with these registers, but i’ve often thought that copies of some of the most ‘colorful’ should be offered at aldha or trail days…or at least a display made of some of the more ‘artistic’ entries…i love 'em!..

a couple of other trail artists that have cheered me are :

'sketch' (of sketch and rambo - pct 2009)
     'mr rogers' (AT 2003)
     'racheopod' (FT 2010)

…anyone else like to comment on other trail art they’ve enjoyed?

yes, the artists along the way…in 2005 going NOBO well behind the big pack enjoyed the sketches of Birdie, the cartoons of Gypsy Lou, the mirror-synch doodles of Colors, and the brain destroying pen and ink of Moonshine…often wondered what would happen to this art. Believe the PCTA collects as many of their registers as possible to use as evidence against us in the up-coming Culture Wars…
