Potential pickup spots (non-WS) to get to ADZPCTKO

Ok guys, heres the deal. I plan on starting from the border on April 23rd, and have a spot reserved at Lake Morena to attend the kickoff festival. However, being as though I would be needing to get a ride either Friday or Saturday (either 5-6 days from start), I’m wondering what my options are.

My ultra-super-tentative gameplan has me in Warner Springs on the 1st of May…a couple days late for the kick-off. At this point I will also be past Mt. Laguna. While I’d definitely be interested in attending the ADZPCTKO, I’m wondering if I’m pretty much out of luck. Is there any other roadcrossings between Laguna and Warner Springs that I could potentially try and finagle a ride from? Any help is definitely apprecated.

Possible locations include:

Pioneer Mail Trail head - Mile 52.7
Scissors Crossing (Hwy 78 / S2) - Mile 77.6
Barrel Springs - Mile 101.4

From your schedule description, sounds like Scissors Crossing might be the best choice. I’d suggest trying for the ride on Friday so you have all day Saturday to enjoy the KO.

Getting a ride back to any of the above locations (and Mt. Laguna, WS or even as far as Idyllwild) from the KO shouldn’t be too much of a problem - there’s a ride board at the KO as well as the on line one.
