Anyone know of a company that has powdered soy milk available? I think adventure foods has quite a bit of dehydrated stuff, but I didn’t find powdered soy milk there.

If you don’t have cans of powdered soy milk in your local grocery, Whole Foods or health food store, try online at:
Or if you are going to use a lot of it on your hike, you can buy a 25 pound box at:
There are probably other sites as well – try typing in powdered soy milk or Better Than Milk (a brand) into yahoo or google.
Kanga
I haven’t seen anyone comment on carrying meal replacement packs / protein drinks. It seems like they would be perfect – light, dehydrated, sheer protein – except that since they are chalky they can be hard to mix without a blender and are better really cold. Has anyone loaded up on these for a long hike? Any recommendations? thanks.
Aeschylus
That is what I was going to suggest, Aeschylus. A plain soy protein powder tastes very much like soy milk, plus it has as much as 25 grams of protein per serving (check the label, ofcourse - brands vary in protein content). I send it to thru-hiker Little Tree and she shakes it up in her water bottle. She said that one brand was not only tolerable, but good! I suppose if you wanted it cold and are near a creek, you could mix it up the night before and chill it there for breakfast.
