If you can get down to Redding there’s a bus that goes from Redding to Susanville once a day and takes about 4 hours, check out www.snowcrest.net for that one. From Susanville there’s the Sagestage which goes from Alturas to Reno, also once a day, stopping in Susanville along the way. Check out sagestage.com. I’ve never been on either one of these buses so I cannot vouch for their reliability or anything else. All the info I found is what was listed on their websites.
I haven’t found anything that goes through Old Station. That’s a pretty remote area so it seems unlikely for there to be public transit going through. Seems like it would be easier to take Greyhound (from Weed) or Amtrak (from Dunsmuir) to Sacramento, then head up to Reno via Greyhound or Amtrak. Hope this helps, good luck!

The closest point to Old Station served by Public Transportation is a 2x/day local bus that runs between Redding to Burney which is about a 20mile hitch down highway 89 to Old Station. But that won’t get you to Reno or anywhere else.
