The section between Chinook and White passes…how is the crossing of Bumping River? I know this is at times unbridged. I hike with my son, who has small legs, so I like heads up.
Anyone been out there so far this year?

there is an old bridge over the river that was caved in by snow load a few years back, even with my poor balance I manage to cross over it. I have never seen the water above my knees at this point, even with high season run off. my guess is crossing should not be a problem.
